Why We Exist
Minority and marginalized groups are disproportionately affected, often facing additional barriers that limit their ability to obtain licensure. Navigating the Board of Nursing (BON) licensing process can be overwhelming—especially for those facing complex regulations, prior legal challenges, or limited access to reliable guidance. Many aspiring nurses struggle to understand BON requirements, find affordable advocacy, or access mentors who can provide honest, knowledgeable support. We created this organization to close that gap.
Mission Statement
The Licensing Bridge supports nurses and nursing students in navigating licensing challenges, advocating for their professional rights, and providing education and resources for successful licensure. We bridge the gaps.

The Licensing Bridge aims to become the trusted resource for nursing professionals seeking guidance with licensing, remediation, and advocacy. We aim to empower every nurse, regardless of their background or past hurdles faced.
Our Service
We provide expert NCLEX prep, remediation, licensing guidance, and Board of Nursing advocacy. Through workshops, mentoring, and networking, we support aspiring nurses in achieving their professional goals.
Our Story
My healthcare journey began more than 24 years ago as a home health aide. I later became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and eventually earned my Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license—a role I proudly held for more than half of my nursing career. My passion for growth led me to pursue my Registered Nurse (RN) license, followed by a BSN and MSN. Today, I continue that commitment to lifelong learning as I work toward my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
For over six years, I’ve served as a nurse educator, mentoring and preparing future nurses for meaningful careers. I’ve supported hundreds of students through the academic, personal, and professional challenges that come with nursing school and licensure.
My own educational path wasn’t easy. During my BSN program, I struggled to find reliable mentors who could offer honest, knowledgeable guidance. That experience shaped my belief in the power of mentorship and inspired me to become the advocate I once needed.
Over time, I saw how many aspiring nurses were discouraged by the complex licensure process—especially those with prior legal issues or complicated backgrounds. Many didn’t know where to start, misunderstood BON requirements, or felt their dreams were no longer possible. These experiences motivated me to build an organization dedicated to education, advocacy, and individualized support.
Beyond my professional work, I’m a wife, mother of six, and grandmother of six. Balancing family, education, and career has taught me resilience and shaped the way I connect with and support my clients.
I founded this organization because I believe one mistake or one obstacle should never define a person’s future. Every aspiring nurse deserves knowledgeable guidance, strong advocacy, and the opportunity to achieve their professional goals.
